The Lady Eagles traveled to the home of the Zionsville Eagles last night. The game was tied at 1 to 1 through the first 3 1/2 innings before a tough inning led to a 14-1 final. The team learned some great lessons and played very hard. Even during the very tough bottom of the 4th, they held their heads high. At the end of the game the Zionsville Team joined Heritage at the mound for prayer led by Carly McKay.
Your MVP of the game was Rachel Houck catching 76 pitches from Sam Cohrn and 59 pitches from 6th grader Natalie Shebek!
As spectators you can normally look at both teams and tell after a game who walked away with the winning score, but not your lady eagles! Believe it or not the team celebrated after the loss! Coach Lyman was quoted as saying "I have never had so much fun loosing!" The celebration will continue today after school at Ritters!
